Native American President 1992. already elected. this is a medicine shiled for th enext president, 1992, which turned out to be Bill Clinton... who, along with Hilary stood in the same 20 square foot of space on a stage back in Austin. I wasn't there to make money I was there to wish them well.
Later, in 1997-8, Bill Clinton came through Palo Alto a few times, and hung around Palo alto in places that required him to pass this painting and others displayed in my window. That mattered for me, because it seemed the images I was showcasing in my window were images of Indians in slightly shifted space.
Just enough to indicate a shift in thought about what we still need to watch out for in the 21st century. Who it hurts when we grab too much FROM ANYONE, and how it helps to honor the process of the RESIDENTS of the UNITED states.
theres' more to this, but I have to sleeep so that I can be able to go and witness a friends right of passage, whil ehe stands up to Police who brutally arrested him for no reason.
I recorded the evidence before it was gone, but I do not take sides against police or for my friends and against anyone.... what troubles me is that others do, and they protect folks who are lying, from time to time.
It took equations like this to pry the Indians off their ancient homeland. I know we can do something better... besides, if we do something better, we all get to share the fun.
I have a long story about what this painting means... but it's all there, maybe you can enlarge it and study it for yourself. for instance, John Kennedy is symbolically representing the quitiscential american family, nad the spiral of smoke is taking him to center of the "presidential shield" this is only part of the symbol. You also can see, if you look, the. symbols of tao, yin-yang and other spiritual symbols that are meant to present the concept of all of our paths honored in the shiled of the preseident/resident of the united states. I ways work simultaneous encoded interpretations and a few even wider views, so that routes of interpretaton bring a person to a newer understanding.
for example, in this one, if a person communes with the painting long enough, they will get an obvious sense that the part of this nation we hold dear, isn't fully shared with the ones that watche dus push them away from the part they tried to share with us.
You see, the first meeting was a greeting, it was the idea of the Indians to embrace ffrom day one. If you consider what REALLY happened, ever since invaders arrived, they integrated, until the real estate barons came. Word go9t back that some great sites for condos existed and now it Caliofornia Pines or some othe extrapolated version of a community desgned around a commons. What was already here, has been replaced by a replica. and the residents aren't the ones who accepted that offfer of the first, harmonious version. See the dicotomy? However, I do not judge this, like the day I signed the painting. I lhave learned since, that we have what's here now. I didn'tpush them off their land, I have tried to embrace the possiblity in this painting, that they allowed the process, rather than die off altogether, and we meemt centuries later, ready to make use of both our status. It's still the ones who have deeds who convince us that we own nothing, and their paper is proof.
a good lanownder, loves to see folks enjoy his/her blessings. It can happen. why not today? why ot for all? Why not with nature for sure.
